Shopify migration

How to move your Shopify product catalog to Tiendli

You can start with a Shopify product CSV export rather than recreating every item. Tiendli imports product data as unpublished drafts so you can review prices, variants, images and fulfillment before launch.

Decide what should move first

Make an inventory of your products and their variants before deciding to switch storefronts. Identify the products customers actually buy and the ones you can reliably fulfill.

A product CSV import is not a complete store migration. Existing orders, customers, passwords, blog content, theme design, custom domains and Shopify app integrations do not transfer through the product importer.

Export products from Shopify

From your Shopify administration, use its product export flow to download a standard CSV of the products you own and are authorized to use. Keep a backup of the original CSV.

Tiendli reads the usual Shopify product CSV fields including Handle, Title, Body (HTML), Vendor, Type, Variant SKU, Variant Price, Variant Inventory Qty, Variant Barcode, product options and image URLs. Product photos may remain hosted externally until you replace or upload them.

Create your Tiendli store and import the file

Create a US Tiendli store. Open Dashboard, Products, then Export / Import and upload the Shopify CSV. Products are imported as drafts and will not be immediately published.

The importer groups variants under their parent product and uses SKU when you explicitly choose Update existing during a later import. Inspect the import results and fix any errors before publishing.

Review what an automatic CSV cannot guarantee

Review images, product attributes, variant combinations, stock, category, descriptions and currency. Recheck product URLs, shipping weights, return policies and taxes. The importer does not guarantee that a Shopify theme, discounts, orders, customers or domain configuration will transfer.

For US sales, connect your own merchant payment method, configure pickup or shipping rates, review your state and local sales-tax obligations, and place a test order. A Stripe connection probe alone is not proof that checkout and webhooks work end to end.

Compare the platforms based on your real needs

Shopify has a broad ecosystem of themes and integrations. Tiendli focuses on a simpler entry to an online storefront and regional marketplace presence. Neither is a guaranteed fit for every merchant.

Before moving a production store, compare the particular payment methods, delivery workflows, subscriptions, integrations, order management and costs you need. Keep your previous store available until your new checkout and customer support processes have been tested.

Frequently asked questions

Can Tiendli import my Shopify products automatically?

Yes, from a supported Shopify product CSV export. The products enter Tiendli as drafts, and the merchant reviews and publishes them.

Will my Shopify customers and past orders be imported?

No. This CSV workflow only imports supported product catalog data, not past orders, customer accounts, passwords or Shopify apps.

Will my images continue working?

The importer can retain HTTPS product-image URLs present in the Shopify CSV. Verify access and replace or re-upload photos when required before publishing.
